by Brianna Crandall — September 1, 2017 — Global facilities services provider ISS has signed a letter of intent for delivering integrated facility services in Norway, Sweden and Denmark to multinational mobile operator Telenor’s more than 5,000 facilities. The contract duration is 5 years with option of extending up to 3 years.
ISS has delivered integrated facility services to Telenor since 2012, and has now re-won the contract via a tender. The contract covers all Telenor’s more than 5,000 buildings, offices, retail stores and technical installations managed by Telenor Real Estate across Scandinavia.
The services in the contract span technical services, facilities management (FM), catering, cleaning, support and office services, energy management, building maintenance and property management, as well as security at some locations. ISS will have approximately 220 service people employed under the agreement.
Troels Bjerg, ISS Northern Europe Regional CEO, said:
This contract enables us to take our partnership to a new level. Together with Telenor Real Estate we have a “one vision, one team, one culture” approach, and the contract represents a partnership model that builds on collaboration, transparency and trust. In partnership with Telenor Real Estate we will continuously deliver excellent, market leading and inspiring IFS services and proactively bring ISS’s entire suite of value-creating services and workplace concepts to life.
New concepts and technologies
Some of the concepts that are being rolled out across Telenor’s premises include Touchpoints@ISS, a user-centric framework created to ensure value to end-users on their daily workplace journey, ISS’s latest FM technologies, and ISS’s sensor technology that gathers information about number of users and occupancy intelligence, enabling ISS to assist Telenor Real Estate in optimizing building efficiency and end-user experience.
ISS has developed a number of new catering concepts to continuously improve the catering experience in Telenor’s canteens, as well as in the cafés, meeting catering and take-away, also covered by the contract. Further, ISS provides workplace optimization to Telenor in order to assist Telenor in improving the utilization of their square meters.
ISS’ Global Excellence approach enables ISS to offer Telenor a highly effective source of best practice sharing, strong benchmarking and concepts development across all sites, to ensure consistency and high standards across Telenor’s sites in all three countries.
Pål Kvalheim, CEO of Telenor Real Estate, said:
ISS has proven to be a very trustworthy and competent partner over the years we have cooperated. We are pleased that they won the tender process and we look forward to continue and further develop the partnership. With our extensive property portfolio in Scandinavia we are dependent on the broad facility management capabilities of ISS. We believe they are the best partner for us to both take care of the daily operations and to develop necessary operational efficiency and innovation.
ISS has serviced Telenor since 2008, initially with catering, cleaning and property services, and from 2012 as full integrated facility services provider. The new contract will enter into effect from January 1, 2018.
