by Brianna Crandall — November 5, 2018 — Global facility services outsourcing provider ISS Group announced new contracts in recent weeks to provide integrated facility services to two financial services providers in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, and a renewal of its contract with the Irish Parliament. ISS Group provides facilities management (FM), cleaning, office support, catering, and security services to businesses in more than 50 countries around the world.
Retail and business bank TSB
ISS has secured a new five-year fully integrated facilities management (FM) contract with TSB, a retail and business bank in the United Kingdom with branches across England, Scotland and Wales.
Working in partnership with TSB, ISS will provide an integrated services solution that includes planned and reactive maintenance and cleaning services to around 550 branches, and also includes security, reception and catering services at eight corporate sites across the UK, employing around 680 people in total.
TSB has invested considerably in their estate in recent years, and by awarding the contract to ISS, TSB aims to put greater focus toward delivering a purpose-led solution for TSB partners (employees) and the bank’s customers.
The new contract commences in November 2018.
Matthew Brabin, CEO, ISS UK and Ireland, noted:
This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to the ongoing estates strategy of TSB and help improve the experience for all their customers and partners. Using our experience of the sector, we will continue to improve the experience through the implementation of an innovative solution with people and technology at the forefront.
TSB was built to bring more competition to UK banking and ultimately make banking better for all UK consumers. TSB serves local customers and local businesses, to help fuel local economies.
Accounting, tax advice and transaction services provider EY
ISS Netherlands will provide integrated facility services to EY — a global player in accounting, tax advice and transaction services — for five years or more.
The new contract began on July 1, 2018, and covers 15 EY office locations in the Netherlands, with approximately 150 ISS employees. Services include catering, property, security, reception and cleaning. Under the agreement, ISS will focus on innovations in the workplace experience, in such areas as health and well-being, and on-demand services via apps, helping EY achieve a “best-in-class” position in the market.
Bastiaan van Riet, director of Administrative and Workplace Services at EY, said:
ISS surprised us with their proposal for a comprehensive solution that enhances our position as market leader in the Netherlands. With ISS, we have found a supplier with a clear focus on hospitality, innovation and efficiency. In other words: ISS is really in a position to create added value to the success of EY.
Kees Stroomer, Country Manager for ISS Netherlands, stated:
We are extremely proud that EY has chosen ISS after an extensive search. An increasing number of companies choose Integrated Facility Services, and ISS has a proven track record with these services, especially in the Business and IT segment.
ISS already provides services to EY in other countries, including in Denmark and the United Kingdom.
Irish Parliament
ISS in Ireland successfully retained its unique and prestigious contract with the Houses of the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) for a further four years.
The Oireachtas consists of the two Houses: Dáil Éireann (Lower House) and Seanad Éireann (Upper House), whose functions and powers derive from the Constitution of Ireland. Situated in Central Dublin, ISS has provided cleaning and ancillary services since first commencing operations in 2012.
The company says its dedicated management and frontline personnel not only deliver high standards of hygiene but also are our ambassadors on this high-profile account where integrity and flexibility are paramount, and says it remains strongly aligned to its customers’ vision and look forward to further developing the partnership in the coming years.
Eric Doyle, managing director, ISS Ireland, commented:
We are delighted to retain this contract which is recognition of the tremendous commitment of our manager, Sandra Rafferty, and her dedicated site team. Our bespoke solution, together with the confidence gained from our service delivery on site, provided our client the confidence to renew our partnership.
Paul Conway, superintendent, Houses of the Oireachtas, remarked:
Congratulations to the ISS Team, and we look forward to continuing to work with you all in making the Oireachtas a world-class parliament which all our citizens can be proud of.
