Vattenfall, in Sweden

The Swedish energy company, Vattenfall, chose ISS Sweden as sole provider of integrated facility services (IFS) at all 250 offices and plants in Sweden. The new Nordic agreement will run for two years with the option to extend for a further two years. ISS has been supplier to Vattenfall since 2006, a collaboration that has gradually expanded to include the nuclear power plants in Forsmark, Barsebäck, and Ringhals. With the newly signed agreement, the collaboration is extended further to include all of Vattenfall’s offices as well as hydro and thermal power plants.

With the agreement, Vattenfall includes all its business units in a single contract with ISS as a sole provider, which is expected to create savings through coordination and operational benefits. The agreement, which commences January 1, 2015, covers a variety of integrated services, such as property maintenance, cleaning, fruit and beverage service, and office services.

Philip Morris, in Czech Republic

ISS in the Czech Republic won a contract to provide a wide range of IFS services for Philip Morris in the central part of the country. Philip Morris is said to be the leading producer and marketer of tobacco products in the Czech Republic. The company’s manufacturing facility in the city Kutna Hora is reportedly the only tobacco plant in the Czech Republic and produces tobacco products for the Czech and Slovak market, but also for 55 other markets around the world. Since 1992, the company’s manufacturing facility has been steadily modernized and enlarged, and Philip Morris employs more than 1,200 people at this location.

The service delivery is complete with property services, fire prevention and health and safety, cleaning services, technical cleaning, management and storage of spare parts of required technical material, management of mail room, summer and winter outdoor maintenance, management of technical library, providing of beverage and catering services, service of meeting rooms, and pest control and CAFM (computer-aided facilities management).

Santander, in Chile

Santander, the largest financial institution in Chile, renewed and doubled its contract with ISS. ISS Chile provides cleaning and pest control services to over 200 Santander Bank sites across the country, with close to 450 ISS employees. Santander chose to continue and increase the services ISS provides because the outsourcing services provider is a large multinational company with years of experience.

The bank has confidence that ISS will support its service and help the bank to innovate and improve current standards, as well as increase the level of client satisfaction. ISS has around 13,000 employees in Chile, providing the full line of ISS services to more than 235 customers.
