by Shane Henson — January 4, 2013—ISS, a facilities services provider operating worldwide, announced that it is relocating its global headquarters in an effort to create a “workplace of the future” that promotes a more collaborative way of working.

During the summer of 2013, ISS headquarters will relocate to Sborg, a suburb approximately 10 kilometers from central Copenhagen. The move to a new state-of-the-art building is expected to create an inspiring working environment for both employees and guests, generating significant value, resource optimization and efficiencies for ISS and its customers.

“While the office in Bredgade has a lot of charm and history, the many long corridors and winding staircases are not exactly supporting ISS’ focus on ‘One company—One Culture,’ and the introduction of real open space offices will offer improvements for many of our employees currently working in open space offices without the proper support facilities,” explained Jeff Gravenhorst, ISS Group CEO.

The new building will also offer advanced technology and integrated facilities services, which will improve both the working environment and the financial bottom-line of ISS, the company says. Just as important, the building was designed to be more sustainable than the company’s former headquarters.

“The new offices will allow ISS to demonstrate how a well thought through building and working environment can significantly reduce water and energy consumption, while also creating cost efficiency from an integrated facility services perspective,” said Gravenhorst.
