by Brianna Crandall — January 27, 2014—Global facilities services provider ISS Group has secured three major contracts in Chile in recent weeks to provide integrated facility services (IFS), security, and building maintenance. The contracts are with the metro rail train stations in Santiago, Nestlé and Telefonica.
Metro de Santiago
The second largest metro rail in Latin America now has ISS as strategic partner for integrated facility services (IFS). In 2014, 75 of a total of 108 train stations of Santiago in Chile, responsible for the transport of two million people every day, will have cleaning and property services provided by ISS in an IFS solution involving more than 800 people.
Eduardo Rojas, Country Manager ISS Chile, commented, “There are two big wins in this project. First, that the IFS model is a winning strategy in our country. Second, that together with the recent local wins with Nestlé and Telefonica, we will make the ISS brand more recognized in our country due to the large number of collaborators passing through the various stations where our services are provided. It is a huge opportunity.”
Nestlé
According to ISS, the company’s previous experience with Nestlé as a client was key to the extension of the security contract that now will have more than 200 employees providing security services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Claudia Torreblanca, Nestlés S&IM strategic buyer Chile, said, “We chose ISS because of the good service that we have on our site in Quilicura, and will put them to the test so that service is replicated to other sites.”
Telefonica
With more than 450 buildings in the project, Telefonica is another important contract for ISS that will commence this year. Around 100 ISS employees will provide building maintenance services in administrative and client reference centers across the country, opening opportunities for future IFS solutions.
Susana Azar, IFS manager in Chile, said, “We are very proud and motivated to developing the Telefonica account. This new project is the largest maintenance contract for ISS Chile and comes to consolidate our property service area. But it is just the beginning. In 2014, Telefonica will be looking for janitorial services, and we will have the chance to explore our IFS value proposition.”
