by Shane Henson — March 13, 2013—UBS, a global provider of financial services, is deepening its relationship with ISS Switzerland through an extension of its facilities management contract with the company that is slated to last until 2020.
The foundation for the early contract extension lay in the high quality of the service delivery, as well as the business partnership, which has continued to evolve in recent years, explains Piergiorgio Morandi, head of CREAS Europe South/West at UBS.
The collaboration between UBS and ISS was initiated in 2006. The new mandate and contract includes a complete package of integrated facilities services, which will be rendered to 400 locations in Switzerland—from the smallest agency to the most complex data center, says ISS, a worldwide provider of facilities management services. This comprises a large variety of services, which extend from building services to energy management, infrastructural maintenance, post services, cleaning, commercial property management, relocation management, and right up to building project management. ISS says it is employing approximately 1,200 people to accomplish the UBS commission.
In addition, the agreement confirms the business strategy adopted by ISS, the company says. It consists of bundling the services in the form of integrated facilities services into customized packages. This results in tangible synergy for clients, whose facilities management costs can be handled flexibly, says ISS. The clients can thus focus on their own core competencies.
