ISS wins cleaning services contract with multinational communications and logistics provider PostNord

by Brianna Crandall — May 18, 2012—Copenhagen-based facilities services company ISS has been awarded a contract to deliver cleaning services to PostNord in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. ISS will be servicing 1.6 million square meters of space in more than 1000 PostNord offices.

ISS says the new contract strengthens its position as the leading service provider in the Nordic countries. PostNord AB, a merger between Posten AB and Post Danmark A/S, is the leading operator within communications and logistics in Northern Europe and a mail operator for all of Denmark and Sweden, according to ISS.

This is the first time PostNord has run a common Nordic cleaning procurement process, says the company. In this tender, PostNord focused on contracting one Nordic supplier in order to streamline the service delivery and establish a cross-border partnership. ISS has proven its capacity to fulfill such demanding requests through its successful stint as a service supplier to Posten in Sweden since 2003.

The ISS Group, founded in 1901, has grown to become one of the world’s leading facilities services companies. ISS offers a wide range of services such as: cleaning, catering, security, property and support services, as well as facilities management. ISS now has more than 530,000 employees and local operations in more than 50 countries across Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America and the Pacific, serving thousands of both public and private sector customers.
