Johnson Controls selects Timberline’s estimating software to grow integrated technology business

September 26, 2003—Johnson Controls has selected Timberline’s estimating software to foster continued growth in its integrated technology system business.

Initially deployed to select in-house estimators nationwide, with more rollouts planned for 2004, the software will improve Johnson Controls’ ability to negotiate performance-based contracts for integrated technology solutions for non-residential construction and retrofit projects. The software also integrates with Microsoft Project to assist in project management scheduling for Johnson Controls.

The software purchase included a companion set of cost databases from RSMeans, which enables Johnson Controls estimators to integrate and update cost data and methods for a variety of project types within Timberline’s estimating software.

Johnson Controls plans to use Timberline estimating software primarily with technology contracting projects where the company has been successful providing integrated low-voltage solutions for building owners.
