by Shane Henson — August 17, 2012—Jones Lang LaSalle, a global real estate services firm specializing in commercial property management, leasing, and investment management, has signed an agreement for the provision of property services to Australia’s largest domestic airline, Qantas.
According to Jones Lang LaSalle, the initial five-year contract appoints the company as the managed services provider for most of the Qantas property portfolio across Australia, with the exception of some specific Qantas business operations.
The extensive portfolio in excess of 18 million square feet covers 29 locations across Australia and includes both airside and landside operations, encompassing airport terminals, catering, freight lounges and corporate office facilities management services. Jones Lang LaSalle will also provide property services to retail outlets within the Qantas domestic terminals in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
Under the partnering agreement, Jones Lang LaSalle will provide Qantas with integrated property services, including facilities management, real estate management, risk management, financial transactions processing and reporting. It will result in a co-located team of Qantas and Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Solutions Division at the airline’s Mascot Headquarters, says Jones Lang LaSalle.
