Kaivac awarded patent for QuickDraw cleaning system

by AF 0608 j3 — June 14, 2010—The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded a patent to Kaivac, Inc., for its QuickDraw System, according to the company’s recent announcement.

This instant chemical-injection system is specifically designed to allow users in smaller facilities to take advantage of Kaivac’s popular No-Touch Cleaning System. Using the system’s multimode spray gun, users can apply cleaning agents to surfaces and then rinse those areas clean in a much more precise and targeted manner.

Along with the spray gun, the patent applies to the systems ergonomically designed, lightweight “hip pack” that contains the units chemical pouch.

“Some of the highlights of the QuickDraw System that helped it earn a patent are that it speeds up the cleaning process and reduces water usage by as much as 50 percent,” says Tom Morrison, Vice President of Marketing for Kaivac. “This allows the user to clean as many as 75 [restroom] fixtures on a single tank of water.” Kaivac has been awarded multiple patents for its products during the past 12 years. This is the company’s tenth patent, and it has 13 more patent applications awaiting approval.
