Kimball Office introduces Poly: stackable, multipurpose side seating that is colorfully distinctive

by Brianna Crandall — June 14, 2013—Whether arranged randomly or with colorful purpose, Kimball Office’s new Poly line of multipurpose stackable side seating marries practicality and distinctive design. Poly seating was introduced at the Kimball Office Chicago showroom during the nation’s largest contract furniture event, NeoCon 2013, which took place June 10 to 12.

Poly’s uniform shape and size make it easy to stack, move and store, but its breathable mesh back and seat add ergonomic support and make the chair characteristically appealing, says Kimball. The 100 percent polyester mesh is available in five vivid hues: Big Sky, Black Tie, Crimson, Tangerine and Kiwi, to add a splash of color to a variety of settings.

“Our new Poly chairs are just as eye-catching as they are affordable, practical and comfortable,” said Allen Parker, vice president of product, sales and marketing for Kimball Office. “Whether they are arranged as a single color set or in multiple-color combinations, their rich tones add energy to any gathering—making them ideal for a wide variety of industries including educational environments.”

Poly chairs can be stacked up to 30 high on an available transport dolly, or up to 10 high on the floor.

The frame of the Poly chair is black plastic, with polished chrome legs that come standard with black plastic glides that can be used for ganging to adjacent chairs. The compact sled-base design of the legs supports versatility and easy mobility. Available individually or in sets of four, Poly chairs can be stacked up to 30 high on an available transport dolly, or up to 10 high on the floor.

Designed with sustainability and safety in mind, Poly chairs meet or exceed applicable American National Standards Institute/Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Association (ANSI/BIFMA) level 2 and Technical Bulletin 133 (TB133) standards.

In Chicago, Kimball also introduced vibrant new mesh colors for the company’s popular Itsa Task Chair. The mesh backrest is now available in seven colors: Cobalt, Jet, Lime, Mandarin, Slate, Tango and Tawny, as well as five seat color choices: black, burgundy, navy, charcoal and sand. The company also launched enhancements to its versatile workspace system line Xsite and its storage system line Footprint.
