by Rebecca Walker — October 8, 2010—The manufacturing facilities for Kimball Office in Post Falls, Idaho and Jasper, Indiana, are being recognized for implementing exceptional environmental strategies that strive to eliminate or minimize pollutants before they are generated.
The Post Falls plant, which manufactures Kimball Office’s systems furniture and metal components, was awarded as a “Pollution Prevention Champion” by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, on Sept. 13. On Sept. 15, the company’s Jasper facility received the “Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence in Pollution Prevention.” The award is supported by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, the Lieutenant Governor’s Office of Energy and Defense Development, Indiana Department of Administration, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
