by Rebecca Walker — May 31, 2010—The Royal Shakespeare Company has hired King Sturge and Incentive FM to review its facilities management services, focusing on the newly-transformed theatre complex in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The £112m redevelopment of the theatre is due to open in late 2010 and boasts a 108-foot viewing tower. It was inspired by the original Memorial Theatre, which burnt down in 1926.
King Sturge and Incentive FM are working to help the RSC create a FM service model, including developing contractor scopes of works and instigating and managing tender processes. This will involve defining the best structure for the new complex to ensure that the RSC can continue to deliver best value to its stakeholders and the best environment for its visitors.
Jeremy Day of King Sturge and Bill Pollard of Incentive FM will lead the team. For more information, see the Web site of King Sturge and Incentive FM.
