by Rebecca Walker — February 4, 2011—Kopac Consulting, a leader in providing solutions to the energy industry, has just released Energy Industry Inventory Benchmark Study and Recommendations.
Kopac Consulting used available public information from 114 companies across ten primary segments: integrated providers, seismic, exploration and production, drilling, natural gas distribution, pipeline, refining and marketing, utilities and retail energy providers, engineering project and construction, and oilfield services to benchmark inventory turnover by segment and in total.
“There is significant variability and practices in inventory management across the industry with major room for improvement in technology and processes,” said John Kopalchick, Kopac’s president and developer of the study. “To our knowledge this is the first study of supply chain devoted purely to the energy industry.”
The study contains 16 pages of benchmark results, discussion, and recommendations. A copy can be downloaded from Kopac’s Web site or by contacting Kopac directly.
