by Shane Henson — August 6, 2012—Landscape Forms, a leading designer and manufacturer of site furniture, has launched Parc Lounge, a new addition to the Parc Centre collection of movable outdoor furniture for parks, plazas and other public places.

Parc Lounge, with its elongated, curved backrest, raises the collection to new heights, says the company. In the lounge and its companion ottoman, master designer John Rizzi has created beautifully simple forms that are light in appearance, yet strong and resilient in structure. Garden party tasteful and college campus tough, Parc Lounge supports a relaxed attitude in a wide variety of settings. The exquisite extended back curve is carefully designed to provide the right balance between lounging and upright positions. This subtle geometry allows users to rest back and also carry on a conversation, read a book, or work on a laptop. The Parc ottoman scores a triple play as a footrest, seat and low table, says Landscape Forms.

Like the other furniture in the Parc Centre collection, all steel construction with economy of form make the Parc Lounge and ottoman nimble enough to move around and heavy enough to hold their ground. Sled bases provide stability on grass, gravel or hard surfaces. Parc Lounge stacks for convenience in moving and storage. Used alone or with Parc Centre square and round tables and armed and armless chairs, the Parc Lounge and ottoman offer flexible options for helping designers create a sense of place.

Parc Lounge and ottoman are finished and protected by Landscape Forms’ Pangard II process, which includes a rust inhibitor and topcoat of polyester powdercoat that is ultraviolet (UV), chip and flake resistant. Both are offered in standard colors, with optional and custom colors available.
