by Brianna Crandall — August 1, 2014—Textura Corporation, Chicago-based provider of collaboration and productivity tools for the construction industry, announced that Latista, a Textura mobile and cloud software solution and a leader in field management solutions for construction, has been chosen by the state-owned enterprise “Big Sports Arena Luzhniki,” a project of the City of Moscow Department of Construction, to reconstruct the largest sports stadium in Russia.
Luzhniki Stadium will be the venue for the opening and final matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Russia. Latista’s building information modeling- (BIM) enabled construction quality management solution will be deployed to ensure the project is completed on time and to the quality standards expected of the Moscow Department of Construction.
The comprehensive, easy-to-use Latista field management application for iPad and iPhone handles quality control, punch list, commissioning, and safety issues and inspections by bringing a project’s documents into the digital age and out in the field.

The Latista quality management solution is designed to organize and improve the communication between project stakeholders and to create comprehensive, centralized field management processes. Moscow’s Department of Construction will be able to track project performance and proactively resolve potential discrepancies through Latista. This in turn is projected to improve efficiency, eliminate rework and reduce costs.
Latista will provide the following capabilities within the quality management process:
- Maintain a list of suppliers and subcontractors for the supplied materials, equipment and services;
- Identify and track issues that need to be fixed by contractors;
- Improve the efficiency of the quality control inspection process and store results for proper documentation;
- Provide controlled access to project stakeholders to the project documentation; and
- Track and analyze root causes for issues and develop reporting to track recurrent issues.
The City of Moscow Department of Construction is expected to ensure savings over the five-year project by automating its quality management process in reconstructing the complex Luzhniki stadium with its implementation of Latista.
