Macro secures three-year FM contract with Citrix in 12 European countries

by Brianna Crandall — February 24, 2014—Macro, the FM services arm of international consultancy and construction company Mace, has won a three-year contract with information technology (IT) company Citrix to deliver facilities management services across 12 European countries.

Macro will be working with Citrix, a leader in virtualization, networking and cloud infrastructure, to enable new ways for people to work better, delivering a seamless program that standardizes processes across the company’s European property portfolio. Through the implementation of robust procedures, the team will ensure that there is consistency across every location, with the aim to reduce the total acquisition cost and improve service delivery on a daily basis, says Macro.

Providing an integrated FM solution, including cleaning, maintenance, pest control and vending, Macro will service properties in Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, France and Ireland. Switzerland, South Africa, Russia, Spain, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Germany are due to be mobilized later this year.

Christian Schneider, Senior Director of Real Estate and Facilities, EMEA, and Jennie Westall, Real Estate and Facilities Manager, both from Citrix, commented, “Macro was selected to partner with Citrix as it can provide a flexible, scalable solution in our heterogeneous office environments. Citrix is excited to work with Macro and benefit from the expertise that it can offer our fast-paced and ever-changing real estate organization.”

Macro, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mace, offers integrated services across the full property and infrastructure lifecycle. The company is operational on four continents and provides strategic and tactical FM services on projects as diverse as Invesco’s property portfolio, and running the operation of the Emirates Air Line.

Founded in 1989, Citrix Systems is a Florida-based multinational software company that provides virtualization, networking and cloud infrastructure solutions that are in use at more than 330,000 organizations and by over 100 million people globally.
