by Shane Henson — February 8, 2012—MacroAir, an innovator of high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) technology for commercial ceiling fans, has introduced a new AirStar line of fans to provide facilities managers and building owners managing all types of buildings with an affordable option to satisfy air quality and movement needs in smaller applications.
The company will produce the AirStar in 8-, 10- and 12-foot diameters with a lightweight, streamlined frame and new motor design for quiet operation and low power consumption. According to the company, the new fan complements MacroAir’s existing line of HVLS fans, which provide energy-saving and cost-reducing solutions in air movement. The AirStar line is certified under the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program, and the 12-foot fan will retail for $3,325.
“We recognize the need for a product that can be applied to small or quiet commercial spaces, while holding true to our company’s commitment to function over flash,” said Eddie Boyd, president of MacroAir. “The AirStar fan allows us to offer the functionality of a quiet, effective product designed specifically to meet the needs of smaller spaces, at an affordable price for small business.”
Since developing the first HVLS 10-blade prototype in 1998, MacroAir has continually refined the design of what it calls the most durable and cost-effective commercial ceiling fan on the market. The company’s energy-efficient, long-lasting HVLS fans can be found in warehouses, barns, manufacturing plants, air hangers and retail establishments across the United States and around the world. MacroAir is committed to customer service and satisfaction, including offering a 12-year warranty on all products. All MacroAir fans are made in the USA.
