by Rebecca Walker — May 6, 2009—Facility Engineering Associates (FEA), a leading facility engineering and management consultancy, and ManageMen, a leading cleaning education firm, have formed an alliance designed to enhance the educational resources, best practices and reputation of facility managers throughout the world.
Under the agreement, ManageMen will assist FEA in helping its clients develop healthy, high-performing facilities through the use of what it calls the world’s first engineered and standardized cleaning process, Operating System 1 (OS1).
Specifically, the alliance will enhance the custodial services component of new diagnostics tools and performance indicator programs for FEA clients. Going beyond benchmarking best practices, these programs will enable facility managers to evaluate performance excellence through a qualified management framework so opportunities for improvement can be easily identified.
“The significance of the (OS1) system is that it produces user-generated data,” said Ben Walker, Director of Special Services at ManageMen. “This is a great fit for FEA’s systems-approach to facility management. We are excited at the opportunities that exist as we work with FEA to educate facility managers about the systems they can integrate to increase operational performance.”
