by Shane Henson — December 12, 2012—Mannington Commercial, a Georgia-based provider of flooring for commercial interiors, has released a new collection of carpeting that is ideal for healthcare environments, especially those geared toward seniors.

The company describes its Il Palio Collection as a lush mix of classic, transitional and contemporary styling for healthcare projects. The collection includes six running line patterns, including two products developed specifically for rooms, and eight custom options.

The patterns come in seven colorways for the patterned styles and two colorways for room carpets. Each broadloom pattern is engineered with type 6,6 nylon for superior stain resistance and appearance retention, and includes XGUARD stain-resistant and ColorSafe bleach-resistant technologies, says Mannington.

The carpet is backed with IntegraHP high-performance broadloom backings, with an impermeable moisture barrier, and is certified as an Environmentally Preferable Product to the NSF/ANSI-140 Gold standard. UltraBacRE is a custom option backing that contains a minimum of 10% post-consumer recycled content and is certified NSF/ANSI-140 Platinum.

Building upon Mannington Commercial’s ability to offer every flooring solution from one point of contact, the collection is strategically designed to coordinate with Mannington Commercial heterogeneous and homogeneous sheet, LVT, VCT, rubber, porcelain and wall-base collections popular for healthcare projects. In particular, coordinating NeoCon Gold-winning Vivendi resilient sheet brings a textile look to hard-surface performance, while Realities and Nature’s Paths bring realistic, natural or abstract, linen-inspired visuals to the floor, the company says.
