by Shane Henson — March 29, 2013—Commercial flooring provider Mannington Commercial has expanded its Vivendi Collection of broadloom and modular carpet to bring an even greater sophistication and more modern touch to healthcare, retail, corporate and education spaces.

According to Mannington, its 2012 NeoCon Gold-award winning carpeting was designed in collaboration with HOK Product Design. Inspired by striated artisan tile and fractal geometrics with an organic twist, the three new patterns in the collection—Montage, Teres and Circ—create a warm, modern, and luxurious aesthetic.

The carpet collection was developed as part of a coordinating, cross-platform family of products that includes privacy curtains from Pallas Textiles and Vivendi resilient sheet from Mannington, which won a 2011 Best of NeoCon Gold award and a 2011 Nightingale Award Honorable Mention, notes the company. As a rethink of a category where the company says very little new thinking has come to the floor in recent years, the collections build upon trends of “luxury,” “healthy,” and “calm” to create a classy aesthetic with exceptional durability and performance.

Designed to perform with low maintenance and high durability, Vivendi carpet features Mannington’s XGUARD stain-defying technology, which gives unparalleled protection against spotting and stains, and ColorSafe bleach-resistant technology, to help maintain the carpet’s appearance for years, even under tough cleaning conditions.
