November 5, 2001—The MegaStar Systems cart is designed to provide an ergonomically efficient method of moving materials stored in the MegaLift Vertical Lift Module (VLM) in a variety of applications.
The steel cart locks into place at the MegaLift VLM’s extraction platform using a docking mechanism. Since the cart is built to the same height as the extraction platform, about waist level, storage trays can be loaded onto the cart directly from the unit. This ergonomic design eliminates lifting, bending and climbing associated with conventional shelving and mezzanine storage systems, improving employee safety and productivity. Once loaded, the cart is undocked and wheeled, by means of an ergonomically positioned push handle, to a workstation or other location.
The MegaStar cart is designed to be used in applications that require parts or tools to be moved to manufacturing or assembly workstations, or in materials handling operations that require items to be moved from the MegaLift VLM to a conveyor, flow rack or lifting device.
