by Shane Henson — August 10, 2012—Meyda Custom Lighting, provider of custom and decorative lighting for 36 years, has taken a little nostalgic inspiration and introduced unique pendants fashioned from homey mason jars.
The first design in the collection is the Meyda Mason Jar Pendant (model 136196), featuring six clear glass mason jars with T6.5 bulbs, suspended by six arms. The hardware and canopy are hand finished in black, which will complement a broad range of interior schemes.
Meyda can create pendants with different-sized mason jars as well, and the number of pendants can range from one light to 12 lights, says the company. The pendant is 11 inches wide and has a total height ranging from 15 to 72 inches. Replacement mason jars for this pendant come in one-quart and two-quart sizes.
Made in the USA, the Six-Light Mason Jar is handcrafted by highly skilled Meyda artisans in the company’s Yorkville, New York, manufacturing facilities. The company says to call for pricing, and to allow 50 days for product manufacture and delivery, as every Meyda Tiffany item is a unique, handcrafted work of art. Natural variations, in the wide array of materials used to create each Meyda product, make every item a “masterpiece” of its own, says the company.
Meyda Custom Lighting offers thousands of decorative styles through fine dealers in the United States and Canada. Many designs are inspired by the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany, Dirk Van Erp, Gustav Stickley, and other masters, as well as the Arts and Crafts, Rustic, Gothic, Revival and Contemporary themes. Meyda’s extensive line includes table and floor lamps, ceiling pendants, chandeliers, outdoor lighting, wall sconces, stained glass windows, fireplace screens, billiard/kitchen island fixtures, novelty items, and more.
