by Brianna Crandall — May 4, 2016 — Established tool innovator Milwaukee Tool continues to expand its trade-specific tool collections with new additions for portable storage organization, a line of cordless finish nailers, and the “industry’s first” adaptable pipe wrench and accompanying straight pipe wrenches, for construction, renovation and maintenance projects.
Parachute Organizer Bag
Milwaukee’s new Parachute Organizer Bag addresses common user concerns with today’s parachute bags, popular for carrying a large amount of fasteners or materials to the jobsite or task — the contents are by design difficult to access, and the bags tend to fall over, are not stackable, and are not weather resistant.
The new portable storage bag features a “stand up, stay open” design allowing for easy access to all of the bag’s contents, while an external zipper pocket provides quick access to hand tools, bits and other accessories. The bag is designed for stacking, and multiple bags can be carried at once. A water-resistant, reinforced base also prevents the bag from water damage and allows it to remain standing for easy access and visibility.
Bucket Organizer Wrap
For those who use their own buckets for portable storage, Milwaukee has designed a new Bucket Organizer Wrap. Today’s bucket organizers typically sit inside the bucket, which can cause awkward weight dispersion and a decrease in usable space. Milwaukee’s Bucket Organizer Wrap fits entirely around the outside of the bucket, freeing the space inside the bucket and allowing bucket lids to be used.
Integrated zipper pockets along the wrap provide easy storage for larger sized tools (such as batteries) and loose accessories, while 30 additional pockets allow the user to store a wide assortment of hand tools and materials. Constructed of 1680D ballistic material, the wrap is designed to stand up to even the toughest jobsite conditions, and comes with a bucket handle wrap for comfortable carrying.
The new Parachute Organizer Bag and Bucket Organizer Wrap are available at select retailers.
M18 FUEL Finish Nailers
By harnessing the power, performance and run-time of its M18 FUEL technology, Milwaukee says its new line of M18 FUEL Finish Nailers are the first cordless solutions for the construction industry with the power to consistently seat nails sub-flush to hardwood surfaces with no ramp-up time and no gas cartridges.
The powerful M18 FUEL Finish Nailers combine three innovations — the POWERSTATE brushless motor, REDLITHIUM battery pack, and REDLINK PLUS intelligence — to deliver “breakthrough” performance, low maintenance and the ability to drive up to 1200 nails per charge on a 2.0ah battery, which Milwaukee says is game-changing for finish applications and also delivers quick and accurate nail placement.
The new tools are designed for the most demanding use with very little maintenance and no cleaning required, and the fast nail delivery can greatly reduce downtime and maximize productivity. With an ergonomic design featuring reduced size and tool length, users can also experience a better balance, feel and overall performance than with competitive tools, says Milwaukee.
The new line of M18 FUEL Finish Nailers, available in May of 2016, includes tools to fit 15-, 16- and 18-gauge angled, brad and straight nails.
Cheater Pipe Wrench (adaptable)
For plumbing and HVAC projects, Milwaukee Tool also introduced what it calls the first adaptable pipe wrench in the industry: the Cheater Pipe Wrench with a three-length adaptable design.
Responding to user concerns about traditional pipe wrenches ranging from lack of versatility and grip to insufficient leverage and uncomfortable handles, the Cheater comes with two interchangeable handles that allow it to operate in three lengths: 1) 10” length for access in tight spaces; 2) 18” length for general purpose use; and 3) 24” length for additional reach and maximum leverage.
The reduced weight of the Cheater puts less strain on the user and maximizes productivity. The Cheater also features the Overbite Jaw with additional teeth, enabling a large grip surface. It features the slim jaw profile of a traditional 14” pipe wrench and the jaw capacity of a traditional 18” wrench.
The Cheater also features the industry’s first dual coil spring design, maximizing its durability and lifespan. An ergonomic handle design ensures a more comfortable fit even during heavy force. Lanyard holes in the handles offer compatibility with today’s growing safety requirements.
Rolling out between April and June, the Cheater Pipe Wrench is joined by a full line-up of Milwaukee straight pipe wrenches in both steel and aluminum in 10”, 12”, 14”, 18”, and 24” sizes (24” is aluminum only), with similar features as the Cheater.
