by Brianna Crandall — November 22, 2010—The fourth annual MIPIM Asia Awards were recently announced at the MIPIM Asia conference in Hong Kong. The awards honor real estate projects in the Asia Pacific region. Nearly 80 projects from 10 countries entered this year’s awards, including projects from Australia, China, India, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
From them, 24 nominees in 8 distinct categories were determined. China and Singapore dominated the list of nominees with a total of 17 projects, with China picking up seven of the 10 final prizes. Winners were chosen via online voting by registered MIPIM Asia delegates.
Winner of the Green Buildings category, Parkview Green
FangCaoDi compensates for Beijing’s harsh climatic
conditions by arranging four buildings as a city-within-a-
city enclosed by an environmental shield: an external
envelope comprising ETFE-membrane roof, and glass and
steel structure faades.
