September 6, 2006—Mirage, North America’s leader in prefinished hardwood flooring, has earned the top ranking for quality in a national industry survey conducted by Floor Focus magazine.

The survey results, announced in the July 2006 edition of Floor Focus, ranked Mirage first in product quality among 20 hardwood flooring manufacturers, says Mirage.

Each year, Floor Focus conducts its “What the Retailers Think” survey, which covers a wide range of retail flooring trends and determines the top manufacturers of broadloom, hardwood, ceramic tile, vinyl and laminate flooring, and area rugs. The survey categories include quality, service and design. This is the third time in four years that Mirage has earned the top rating for quality. Mirage also rated among the top five hardwood flooring manufacturers for service and design.

Mirage significantly expanded its product offerings in 2006. In January, the company introduced the Sweet Memories product series, which features three new stains: Creme Brulee, Truffle and Toffee. New stains were also added to the Mirage Classic Collection, including coffee-colored Vienna on Red Oak and Maple.

Mirage broadened its Engineered Collection offerings of 5-inch-width products to include Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) and added Tigerwood to its exotic wood species selection. Finally, Mirage introduced Nanolinx, the company’s exclusive new finish featuring high durability and wear resistance by leveraging nanotechnology.
