by Ann Withanee — June 27, 2012—With its motto “Work. Plug. Play.,” Arconas’ inPower Bar was demonstrated during NeoCon 2012 at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago. The inPower Bar, says Arconas, has flexibility, ease of installation and a budget-friendly price tag—all important benefits with appeal to facilities managers. Not to be overlooked is that inPower eliminates the need for custom millwork.
With the inPower Bar, office staff can work without interruption while electronic devices are recharging via a traditional power cord, USB cable, or wirelessly using integrated technology from Duracell Powermat. The table offers individual work space and distributes power to several modules from one wall outlet, reducing the need for costly facility electrical work.
This new counter is highly adaptable, as well; according to Sherry Martin, Arconas’ Commercial Sales Manager: “The inPower bar offers facility operators a convenient, more flexible and economical alternative to custom millwork to provide charging counters for their customers.”
Also featured at NeoCon, the UL-rated, inPower flex is an under-the-seat power source with numerous built-in safety features that limits current, is GFI-protected against short circuits, and shields consumers’ electronic equipment from surges. Service is extended from one leg panel to another using a jumper cable from the daisy outlet of one unit to the power inlet of a second unit, so that only one plug is required to provide power to the entire counter.
A Canadian-based international provider of modular and public seating solutions, portable workstations and more, Arconas is committed to environmental initiativesinitiatives that include using foam that is free of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs), with renewably sourced BiOH brand polyols, fire-retardant urethane, and recyclable packaging.
