by Ann Withanee — June 27, 2012—In the introduction of Lively in its showroom during NeoCon 2012 in The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, Haworth, Inc., refers to the seating family of desk/task and side chairs as “affordable without compromise.” The ergonomic and customizable Lively Task and Side chairs, designed by Steve Nemeth and the Haworth Design Studio, won a Gold Award in The Best of NeoCon held during NeoCon in the ergonomic seating category.
Haworth’s groundbreaking research and development in seating ergonomics that resulted in best-in-class, award-winning features for both the Zody and Very seating families provided an important base for many of Lively’s ergonomic and healthy attributes.
The Lively Task chair is a full-featured ergonomic chair that includes pneumatic seat-height adjustment, weight-assisted tilt tension, an upright back lock, and a tension back, as well as optional height-adjustable lumbar, seat-depth adjustment, forward tilt and four-dimensional arm adjustments.
The Lively Side chair is a perfect complement to the Task chair. The Side chair stacks in style, up to five high, freeing up valuable floor space, and allows users to outfit an office or conference room with the same Lively look.
The entire Lively seating family provides users with tension back support, through fabric that is strategically tensioned in four zones to allow for proper lumbar support, breathability, and comfort. Lively’s tension back fabric is offered in nine colors, including Sunflower (yellow), Grass (green), Chocolate (brown), Nickel (dark gray), Tomato (red), Black, Steel (light gray), Miami (light blue) and Geranium (orange), and is also available fully upholstered, in countless Haworth fabric designs.
Lively is Greenguard Children & Schools Certified.
Haworth was recipient of two additional Gold Awards in The Best of NeoCon product competition: Planes Training Table and workware technology support. A Silver was awarded to Belong, in the office accessories category. Articles about these products will be posted elsewhere on FMLink.com.
