by Ann Withanee — July 4, 2012—Haworth’s Planes Training Table, the newest addition to the Planes product line, takes a leap forward in its design to address technology, usability and reconfiguration needs for a variety of design requirements and education application settings. Introduced during NeoCon 2012, Planes is versatile for use in a bevy of situations, from dedicated training rooms to multi-purpose spaces.
The Planes Training Table received a Gold Award in the Best of NeoCon product competition, held annually during NeoCon at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago. Planes’ design versatility starts with a variety of top shapes, sizes, mobility, and power and finish options needed to work effectively.
The Training Table enables quick reconfiguration, with power distribution between tables. The flip top/nesting, caster, ganging mechanism, modesty panel and power distribution system options were designed with easy operation in mind to support flexible spaces.
Planes tables are available in rectangle, crescent, half round, pie connectors, polygon and trapezoid. Rectangle tables are available in 20-, 24-, and 30-inch depths with 36- through 96-inch widths. Top materials include laminate, double-cut, and natural wood veneers with a standard or green core option. The Flip-Top/Nesting option is available on all tables 24- or 30-inches deep and from 36 to 72 inches wide.
Haworth received three other awards in The Best of NeoCon product competition: Gold for workware technology support; Gold for ergonomic seating Lively; and Silver for Belong office accessories.
