by Ann Withanee — June 29, 2012—The Reveal presentation wall by Nucraft provides facilities managers and designers with a fully functional design that responds easily to the varying needs of a conference room’s users, with various features tucking away when not needed. The presentation wall received a Silver Award in The Best of NeoCon product competition while on display in Nucraft’s showroom at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, during NeoCon 2012.

Distinguished by its clean, low-profile design, the Reveal presentation wall is an elegant addition to executive conference rooms and board rooms. It is also suitable for training rooms and private offices. For the most part, Reveal stays in the background. In fact, explains Nucraft, its height-adjustable mobile easel can be housed in a built-in “garage” so that it stays hidden when not in use. When put to work, the wall becomes the center of attention, revealing a variety of dynamic features to support meetings and presentations.

Integration of analog and digital media is reportedly seamless. Notebook display and sliding markerboard panels have generous writing surfaces to enhance interaction and creativity. With a simple, elegant palette and Nucraft’s superior wood finish matching capability, Reveal blends with any furniture, interior and architectural style. Reveal also offers many advantages over custom millwork, including lower cost, easy installation and reconfiguration, plus exceptional wood finishing. The wall is also portable, so that the facilities manager can take it along should the company move.

“The Reveal mobile easel responds to the way people interact with whiteboards by moving with them as they write.” says Reveal designer, Jess Sorel of sorelstudio. “Reveal provides a unique way of dealing with this issue by creating a relationship between the easel and what’s on the wall—we gave it a place to park at the end of the day.” With Reveal, the easel becomes part of the wall composition, artfully and intentionally integrated.

Nucraft uses recycled materials in manufacturing Reveal, allowing it to contribute toward the attainment of points in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system, a set of the universally recognized standards for green environments established by the U.S. Green Building Council. In addition, Reveal can be specified with materials made from rapidly renewable resources or wood content certified by the Forest Stewardship Council for its environmental attributes.

Nucraft won two other awards in The Best of NeoCon product competition: it captured the coveted Best of Competition Award for Passport Solo and Duo, flexible conference room furniture (See “NeoCon 2012: Nucraft wins coveted Best of Competition with flexible Passport conference furniture” on FMLink), and a Gold Award for Emme benches and tables (See “NeoCon 2012: Nucraft’s Emme occasional pieces take Gold inBest of NeoCon” on FMLink).
