by Ann Withanee — July 2, 2012—NunoErin brings the idea of responsive furniture to new heights with its absorbing line of Interactive Light Products introduced during NeoCon 2012 at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago. Two of the multisensory furniture collection’s pieces were displayed: Diamond Bench and Sparkle Table.

Both NunoErin’s Diamond Bench and Sparkle Table reflect a new concept in commercial furniture: utilizing physical touch and interaction to connect individuals with one another and with the spaces they inhabit. The unique solid-surface pieces are made of renewable LG HI-MACS natural acrylic stone surface, and use responsive light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and sensors to generate multicolored light behaviors activated by the electrical fields within the human body. Touch it softly and it glows.

An imaginative collection of furniture, Intractive Light products offer sensory experiences. Each piece features unique interactive light behaviors that respond when softly touched. Then Interactive Light Products emit mesmerizing light that shimmers and responds beneath the user’s hand. The collection’s forms reflect a sense of simplicity that is brought to life with translucent solid surface. Each piece features a renewable finish, durable construction and user-friendly installation.
