The T7 is the latest addition to Humanscale Healthcare’s TouchPoint series of mobile technology carts, which address today’s healthcare information technology (IT) challenges and provide caregivers with a simple and easy way to access technology throughout the day. Like all TouchPoint models, the T7 is designed with the well-being of caregivers in mind, offering intuitive, ergonomic operation.
The caregiver-centric T7 offers easy, one-step adjustability and optimized maneuverability. To meet the ergonomic requirements of the 5th to 95th percentile of users in sitting or standing postures, the T7’s Auto Fit technology instantly adjusts the unit to the caregiver’s entered height. By eliminating all but one adjustment step and allowing users to enter their own, specific heights, the T7 encourages users to work in an optimized ergonomic position with minimal effort.
Further exemplifying the T7’s sophisticated design is its Power Track steering, which implements an additional wheel, enabling caregivers to easily maneuver in tight spaces and corridors with one-hand operation. In addition, all controls on the T7 are within the shoulder width—and therefore the ergonomic range—of the user. The T7 also offers two different tilting monitor arm options, both of which accommodate a vast range of individuals, including those with bifocals. And due to its low center of gravity, the T7 has excellent balance and stability for smoother, safer use, says Humanscale.
For expanded utility, the T7 offers a CPU holder or direct laptop accommodation to ensure excellent options for both PC and laptop applications. Additional clip-on containers may be implemented to conveniently hold sharps, glove boxes and other items, and more drawer layers can be added to the cart to increase its storage capacity. In addition, the T7 includes an optional clip-on mouse platform with a cable management clip.
Described as brilliantly simple in both form and function, the T7 has a completely encased wire management system, designed to mitigate both clutter and infection control concerns. In any setting, the T7’s beautifully streamlined design makes cleaning easy and promotes a healing environment, says Humanscale.
Engineered for lasting use, the T7 has an optimized power system and battery, with SLA and lithium battery options. Both AC and DC systems may be used for the power system.
