by Brianna Crandall — July 1, 2013—Signage and wayfinding solutions provider Takeform showcased its Vivid, Image-Intense Signage at the NeoCon 2013 contract furnishings show in Chicago June 10-12. The product won a Gold Award in the Signage and Wayfinding category of the Best of NeoCon Competition, which celebrates new product innovation and design.

Vivid, Image-Intense Signage is image-rich signage comprised of over 150 sign types from directories to work station identifiers, including a new free-standing collection, plus all code-compliant signage for every interior location and destination. The signage is designed to tell an organization’s story instantly and memorably, conveying and even “becoming” a brand, and imparting “everything from an edgy swagger to subtle sophistication.”

Vivid can be used to amplify a brand, explain what a person or organization does, express an ethic, or reveal corporate personality. According to Takeform, the signage tells a story with a photo/graphic intensity that makes the image all the more “Vivid,” linking the organization’s marketing collateral and their space and inspiring and establishing an emotional connection with their stakeholders — customers, donors, employees.

Vivid complies with all federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and local life safety codes, and the company says it takes over total responsibility for compliance with applicable codes.

To create a sign, the specifier selects the sign types, drags to the Vivid art-board, and personalizes them with a huge palette of colors, prints and/or royalty-free photos. Even a sample of fabric or a window treatment or a wall covering can be matched, says the company. Or, the specifier can choose a pre-configured, pre-themed sign family. Takeform provides an insert template so new information can be keyed in and printed to keep signs easily up-to-date.
