by Brianna Crandall — June 27, 2014—In addition to the Best of NeoCon Silver-winning Mimeo task chair and Beyond Designer for Revit software, workplace furniture manufacturer Allsteel Inc. showcased enhancements to two other product lines, detailed below, at this year’s NeoCon contract furnishings show.
Further benching and desking system
The Further benching and desking system embraces change by creating an agile open-plan solution that allows users to evolve their workspace environment at their own pace, based on what individual tasks require now and in the future. The interchangeable offerings in the Further line provide users with options to customize their workspace to meet their needs. The system is designed to connect teams and optimize real estate while supporting a broad range of users and the work they do.
At the heart of the Further system is the flexible hub, which provides power and data support for a variety of applications, whether beam-connected or freestanding. Further’s signature trapezoid worksurface allowd multiple configurations, provided unique user orientation that maximizes footprint efficiency, and accommodated focused or collaborative workspace. Whether a company’s planning approach is organic or linear, individual or team-based, Further brings flexibility to workspace planning.
In September 2014, Allsteel will introduce enhancements to the Further line, including a variety of accessories for improved organization and access, new worksurface options, storage, and new power and wire management solutions. The Allsteel site includes videos describing the product.
Allsteel has also expanded its Align storage portfolio with the addition of its all-new low metal credenza offerings. Align embraces current industry trends by adapting to the changing office landscape and giving workstations a more personalized feel. The new offering is universal and can be used with any Allsteel panel system, specifically Stride and Terrace DNA. Align offers design flexibility with many planning options, clean lines, and the ability to make a positive aesthetic statement in any workspace.

The storage products are designed to handle the everyday demands of the productive office with double-wall drawer fronts, heavy-duty, European door hinges, and the extra durability of all-metal construction.
Align has a full complement of supporting accessories, such as work surface support stanchions, panel mount brackets and seat cushions. Available features include metal or laminate fronts, plinth or footed base, and a variety of widths and configurations.
