NeoCon 2014: Group Dekko launches collection of power and communication products

by Brianna Crandall — June 16, 2014—Group Dekko, manufacturer of a broad variety of products for the office furniture and architectural lighting industries, as well as transportation, industrial, appliance and medical markets, introduced its new “Powered by Pent” collection at the NeoCon contract furnishings show last week in Chicago.

Powered by Pent is a collection of power and communication solutions engineered to deliver power and communication where it is needed the most. The sharp, clean designs feature smooth receptacle faces, with or without sleek, monochromatic satin metal trim, and optional ports for extensive power and data delivery.

Designed to install easily and integrate seamlessly into worksurfaces, conference rooms, and soft seating, each device features independent port delivery of 2.1 amps, which Group Dekko notes is the fastest charging speed currently available for iPads, tablets and phones. All products are available in monochromatic finishes, in industry standard and custom colors, based on design requirements.

The new releases include: Ashley Duo, Ashley Trio+, Ashley Duo Under, Ashley Trio+ Under, Ashley Duo Bezel, Hudson Hood, Afton Duo+, Ashley Trio+ Bezel, Brimfield, Pop-Up Power Tap, and USB Charging Module.

Engineered without springs or mechanical parts, Brimfield boasts long-time durability. The satin metal bezel, pop-up and access lid lend simple flair to training or conference tables. Simply make a cutout in the worksurface, drop unit into hole, slide bracket into place, and tighten.

In addition, Group Dekko had new task light options on display: On-Task Detach, On-Task B, On-Task Touch, US-Task LED Premium 12, and US-Task LED Basic 20.

Prior to the show, Group Dekko CEO John May stated, “Because we have received customer feedback that our prototypes have ‘hit the nail on the head’ with our designs, features, functions and benefits, we are accelerating our timelines to meet current demand. We are looking forward to exhibiting them at NeoCon ’14.”

Established in 1952, Group Dekko is a privately held company comprised of strategically integrated resources, with research and development (R&D) and production facilities throughout the United States and Mexico, as well as partnerships in Asia.
