Gold winner for Furniture: Benching—Inscape Bench
Designed for today’s agile workers, Inscape Bench is customizable, scalable and meets the challenge of open-plan environments, supporting the transition of workers into collaborative spaces. Inscape Bench addresses diverse preferences, styles, privacy and functional needs with applications ranging from open low-profile benches to technology-intensive applications.
Options to personalize the spine include planters, frameless glass, various storage units, tackable screens and whiteboards.
Screens help define space, eight spine options provide various levels of privacy and convenient access to power and data, and 13 options are available for hang-on end components, including a diverse range of storage, privacy elements and accessories. A simple attachment mechanism enables rapid change to address changing needs. 120 degree connections enable more organic planning and enhanced ergonomic performance.
Height-adjustable options address a healthier way of working, with both pneumatic and electric height-adjustable worksurfaces, including a panel-mounted version. A stationary standing-height or stool seating bench at 42″ H allows users to work at a standing height bench as they need to and collaborate in the open environment.
Easy access to technology is engineered to maximize productivity and aesthetic appeal. Secure, concealed CPU storage, high cable capacity, and multiple data/power-access port options support today’s technology-driven workplace. Electrified Twin-Bin allows personal devices to be locked away while charging. Inscape Bench works with advanced technology products like the i3 Tip & Touch mobile unit to enable touch screen presentations.
As part of a future-proof solution, privacy can be increased/decreased with Inscape Bench’s unique stack-on capability. Inscape Bench integrates with Inscape System to provide a wide range of applications for today’s multi-generational workplace. For increased sustainability, Inscape Bench is BIFMA level 2 certified for indoor air quality, contributes to LEED points, includes both pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled content, contains FSC-Certified wood, and is GREENGUARD Certified for minimum volatile organic compounds (VOC) off-gassing.
Agia is a European-designed task chair that Inscape says performs beautifully across the office. It bridges the gap between German design and precision engineering, good looks, and value. According to the company, this powerful combination results in a task chair that performs beyond similarly priced competitors with thoughtful, intuitive controls that support a wide range of office workers, and works in all areas of the office. With a wide range of design and functional options, Agia can be customized for the open plan, the boardroom, or the executive office.
Designed by ITO Design, Agia was created to meet the needs of demanding customers who value ergonomic features, as well as design and aesthetics. All options are ergonomically designed and add adjustability to the chair. Even the most basic model is a high-performance task chair by industry standards, says Inscape. The base model includes: height adjustability, seat pan slider for seat depth, six-position tilt lock, tilt tension side knob, high-back mesh back, lumbar depth adjustment, multi-adjust arms (height, width, depth), black poly base and hard floor casters.
“Designed for the 95th percentile with options to satisfy 100%,” Agia includes a comprehensive range of adjustments including an innovative lumbar-depth adjustment that reportedly provides excellent support for the curvature of the back, enabling a better sitting experience. Two advanced tilt mechanisms provide the right level of control. Thoughtfully designed to do more with less materials for less impact on the environment, Agia’s simple set of components are easy to dismantle, and material waste can be managed responsibly at the end of the product’s life cycle.
The Nuform Tables collection features Nuform seamless surfaces that are suitable for casual collaboration areas, meeting rooms, training areas, lounge settings, and individual workspaces. Nuform Tables offer a wide selection of bases, modesty screens, power modules and cable management, all topped off with a unique seamless Nuform surface in almost any shape imaginable.
Nuform provides a seamless and attractive finish for worksurfaces. Contoured surfaces and tapered edges provide a comfortable and ergonomic choice. It is available in solid, patterns and Woodgrain finishes, and is said to be heat and fade resistant. Nuform Tables are available in many standard sizes and shapes, and Inscape’s design team will work with the customer to provide a customized solution.
Pop-up modules provide easy access to power, data and USB ports to enhance productivity in collaboration spaces. Clamp-on power/data modules slide onto the edge of the surface and fasten with a simple thumb screw. Wire management is said to be handled easily, with a basket for holding power cords, adaptors and a choice of grommets.
Nuform Tables are available with 10 leg options. Legs can be painted in any of 60 standard paint colors to add contrast and make a design statement. Worksurfaces and legs can be mixed and matched to meet different needs. Modesty screens can be added to provide privacy below and/or above the worksurface.
Height-adjustable bases with pneumatic-assist and electric adjustments are available to meet the growing demand for sit/stand options. Café-height bases create casual meeting tables. Regarding sustainability, Nuform Tables are BIFMA level 2 certified and contribute to LEED points.
