by Brianna Crandall — June 26, 2015—Group Dekko, provider of workspace power solutions, announced last week that its new Ashley Trio+ Bezel product earned a Gold Award in the Workplace Technologies category of the Best of NeoCon 2015 annual contract furniture industry competition at the NeoCon show in Chicago.
Group Dekko historically has been an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supplier of power distribution products. Part of the Powered by Pent Collection, the new Ashley family of six models is a dedicated line of USB charging and electrical power taps designed and developed for general sales in office, hospitality, education, healthcare and consumer markets.
Group Dekko CEO John May stated, “Over 100 samples of the Ashley line are on display in 18 office manufacturer showrooms this year at NeoCon, so the award is a welcome affirmation from the design community that we are meeting their expectations with the Ashley product design and technology features.”
All of the Ashley products feature two or three receptacles, and two USB charging ports with 2.1 amps for fast charging. Both USB ports have a Smart Recognition Chip to monitor the power request from a device to self-regulate the supply of all 2.1 amps or less as needed by the device. The result is that power-hungry devices will not steal power away from smaller devices, and each device charges as fast as possible, says Group Dekko.
The sharp, clean designs feature smooth receptacle faces, sleek satin metal trim, and optional ports for extensive power and data delivery. All are available in white on white, black on black, white on satin metal, with custom colors available upon request. There are six Ashley models all with dual USB ports, two or three receptacles, and options for data ports, in clamp on, under surface mount, and recessed versions.
The Ashley Trio+ Bezel is designed for use on both vertical and horizontal surfaces, and features the option to install a data port: RJ45, HDMI, or VGA.
The other products in the Ashley line, most of which were introduced at NeoCon 2015, are:
- Ashley Duo: completely integrated within a single-piece cover, eliminating dust- and debris-catching grooves and unseemly seams, with a “most impressive” power pack and two outlets
- Ashley Duo Under: easily accessible power with two outlets in a more discreet package
- Ashley Duo Bezel: completely integrated power bundle within a single-piece cover, diminishing unsightly lines and edges prevalent on other products
- Ashley Duo Air: everything the Ashley Duo models are plus a light-as-air touch to tilt up for use or lay flush and out of the way on surfaces
- Ashley Duo Wedge (concept): everything the Ashley Duo models do with a durable single die-cast bezel and fixed position protective cover that makes it super durable and suitable for education or training environments or other heavy use and traffic applications
- Ashley Trio+: three outlets and two USB ports for added power, and an optional data port for enhanced communication
- Ashley Trio+ Under: the stylish design associated with the Ashley series, modified for under-surface mounting, featuring three outlets that deliver AC power for high-power devices
