by Brianna Crandall — July 1, 2015—Quebec-based furniture designer and manufacturer Groupe Lacasse has once again received a Gold Award for its enhanced C.I.T.É. benching system in the Best of NeoCon Competition Furniture Systems: Enhancements category at last month’s NeoCon show in Chicago, reiterating the company’s strong position in the design and the manufacture of innovative laminate solutions for today’s workplaces.
With more benching furniture offerings now on the market, the Groupe Lacasse design team led by Dominic Aubry was motivated to redesign the C.I.T.É. furniture system, which won Best of NeoCon Gold when it was introduced in 2010, by the fact that users today are looking for solutions to improve privacy, and paradoxically, companies want to multiply teaming environments.
Adapting to current, evolving and emerging needs, the C.I.T.É. furniture collection is said to embody versatility. Whether for brainstorming sessions, project planning, information sharing, individual tasking or conceptualizing, C.I.T.É. lends itself to the configuration of customized workstations, providing both the collegiality and privacy required to deliver peak performance at any given time or workspace application.
Groupe Lacasse also introduced the Io Seating by United Chair in the Seating: Guest category. The collection is specifically designed to suit-up meeting spaces and bring the final touch to inspire collaborative environments. Sleek design, “amazing” curves, comfort and style are all integrated in this Italian design by Favaretto & Partners. It offers different perspectives in red, black or white for a unique collection that covers needs in guest, café height and conference seating applications.
