by AF0619 d3 NEOCON — June 22, 2009—Boyd’s first LED lighting fixture, La Reina Pendants, provides high efficiency 42 lumens per watt), long-life (50,000 hours, and excellent color temperature (3000K) while consuming only 8.75 watts of energy. Halogen lamping is also available.

Designed by Federico Otero, the luminaire structure is made from laser-cut stainless steel made with 94 percent post-recycled content. The pendants are electro-polished on the outside which gives them a dazzling shine, and the interior is a powder coat white for added reflectance. Seeing through the cut-out pattern creates a moir effect providing added visual interest.

The La Reina comes in two sizes, Modesta (24″) and Magnifica (36″), both offering multiple hang heights. Long and sleek, La Reina pendants are suitable for stairwells, corridors and over a counter or reception desk. Clustering individual pendants onto one ceiling plate at varying heights creates a custom design. This custom cluster is an excellent solution for lighting large circular staircases and double volume spaces.
