by AF 0617c — June 17, 2009—The new Vili Seating from Gunlocke, which won a Gold award in The Best of NeoCon product competition, not only asserts the sophistication required in a private office setting, but also easily translates and adds a surprising design element throughout high-use spaces, such as educational and healthcare facilities.

Designers Paul James and Dan Cramer created a mixed-media family of seating that is lightweight, versatile and features a steam-bent wood back. Vilis back configuration and seat design provide comfort typically not found in stacking chairs. The design options available are virtually endless with 36 base models; it offers 2,080 possible combinations. It also features an ergonomic design. Vili incorporates the seating measurements and dimensions that are most comfortable for 95 percent of users.

Vili seating is designed to be durable, repairable and upgradeable. It also has the end of life in mind, as the chairs recyclable, mixed materials are separable and can be re-used or recycled. One hundred percent recycled content fabrics are available, as are MBDC Cradle to Cradle (C2C) fabrics.

The seating line also contributes to earning LEED credits. Vili exceeds BIFMA standards and is backed by Gunlockes 12-year warranty.
