by AF 0619 c3 NEOCON — June 22, 2009—The HON Company’s new Abound furniture line uses a frame and tile system and is designed to be easy to use and durable, yet modern and clean in form.
Different tile materials and textures can easily be combined to vary the visual landscape within each individual workstation and throughout the entire office, says the company. Along with HON’s compatible Vicinity system, Abound was displayed at The Merchandise Mart during NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in Chicago.
Abound features durable construction details like welded frames, metal trim and metal-to-metal panel connections. The tiles utilize an interlocking system that ensures quality installation and alignment. Abound’s tile structure also features superior acoustical and tackable properties, says the company. Abound can be configured to support a wide spectrum of workplace environments, including team spaces, semi-private offices, call centers and reception areas.
Abound is highly compatible with other furniture from the company, including storage and freestanding desks such as the new Vicinity Work Storage and the Flagship Series Side-Access Pedestal. Vicinity uses four basic components to provide the polished look and feel of custom millwork, but with the functionality of adaptable, smart storage, notes the HON Company.
