by AF0619 k3 — June 21, 2010—Egan Visual demonstrated its new TecTern technology for interactive presentations at its showroom in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart during NeoCon World’s Trade Fair held annually in June. The TecTern lectern gives presenters complete interactive control of their presentation.
The TecTern accommodates a fully integrated, built-in TeamBoard Finger Touch Monitor that allows presenters to control their large-screen presentations. This interactive display eliminates the need for a mouse or remote clicker. The Finger Touch Monitor comes with TeamBoard Suite, which adds digital ink annotation functionality.
The TecTern bi-fold platform lifts to reveal a spacious cavity to easily access connections, cable management, and the TeamBoard Finger Touch Monitor. Magnetized clasps hold the platform drawer in place under the TecTern cavity, making it easy to make adjustments to the laptop. All of this is hidden under the platform, which when closed has a document rail and a clean presentation.
Presenters are able to interact with the TecTern standing or seated. A 12-inch range of electronically controlled height adjustment is available and operated with the press of a finger. The modesty panel moves with the TecTern crown, maintaining a simple and consistent appearance at any height.
The TecTern steel base ensures stability and the built-in casters make it easy roll the TecTern to a new location, or to simply pivot the TecTern in place. The TecTern crown and modesty panel can be specified in a variety of solid colors and wood finishes. The modesty panel can also be branded with a company’s logo.
