by AF0612b3 — June 14, 2010—Inscape Corporation, a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of workplace solutions, has introduced the Planna desking system, which will be showcased at NeoCon World’s Trade Fair 2010 in Chicago, June 14-16, 2010.

With new power and data capability, Planna delivers an enhanced level of form and function as a cost effective private office solution with a contemporary aesthetic, according to Inscape.

While traditional casegoods position storage behind the user in a credenza, Planna offers what it calls a unique approach — side credenza planning. The challenge of this configuration was in determining how to support technology while keeping wires and cables out of site.

A hinged front compartment conceals a cable management drawer and provides easy access to wall services. Cables are neatly routed from the worksurface through a flush mount grommet. Electrical bookcase combines binder storage with electrical and data cable management.

Offering a high end and minimalist aesthetic, Planna is a highly functional option for private offices, says the company. With 1.5-in. interior incremental adjustability and off-modular capability, Planna provides flexibility to meet various planning requirements and enables easy reconfiguration. Planna’s other applications include open plan, desking, benching, reception and collaborative work areas so that achieving a consistent aesthetic throughout an office is easy with this flexible and adaptable product.

Planna is built with high recycled steel content, which is 100 percent recyclable and FSC-certified MDF or wood veneer worksurfaces. It is built under one roof to reduce impact on the environment and is GREENGUARD certified. Since being launched in 2008, Planna has been recognized with multiple design awards including, Best of NeoCon Silver, GOOD DESIGN, Best of Canada, Design Exchange and Interior Design Magazines Best of Year Product.
