by Ann Withanee — June 24, 2011—Harden Contract showcased new enhancements to its ASCEND series, designed by Gregory Saul of Tolleson Saul Design, at the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair, June 13-15, The Merchandise Mart, Chicago. The introduction of a new Mobile Pedestal and a transitional designed full-profile Pedestal Desk were featured together with the popular Sit-Stand Desk.

The Pedestal Desk is available in both 72-in. and 66-in. widths and is standard with brushed aluminum hardware and matching feet as well as an optional brushed aluminum bezel accent. The Mobile Pedestal is designed for use with the Sit-Stand Desk and serves as additional flexible storage. It is available with a solid cherry top or with a top cushion option.

The ASCEND Sit-Stand Desk, available in two standard sizes, offers the ergonomic ability to adjust the height of the desk from a 29-in. sitting position to a 48-1/2-in standing position. In addition, there are complementing credenza and hutch options to complete the series that initially began with the Sit-Stand Desk. The Sit-Stand Desk creates a truly flexible work environment that provides for multiple postures during the workday, including those that do not involve sitting, notes Harden.

The Sit-Stand Desk comes equipped with wiring options for desk top power and communication ports that satisfy any configuration along with an electronic lift motor that smoothly adjusts the entire desktop from a sitting to standing position in a matter of seconds. The intuitive fingertip controls are easily accessible, and whether it is for an impromptu team meeting or a marathon computer session, the process is effortless, says the company.
