by Ann Withanee — June 20, 2011—The “striking,” angular Ekko table series was accorded a Gold award in the Conference Room category in the Best of NeoCon product competition, during the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Davis also received two other Gold awards and one Silver in other categories.

With its fascinating architectural form and interesting mix of materials, Ekko presents a new level of style into conference rooms and personal office spaces. Its clean, crisp lines and straightforward simple aesthetics make a bold statement about modern interior design.

Ekko’s trio of angular base designs is available in chrome and powder-coat finishes. The inverted V-base, featured on larger desk and conference tables, is suggestive of a sleek, futuristic sawhorse. The tri- and quad-bases that are featured on smaller meeting tables evoke images of a larger-than-life house of card, suggests Davis Furniture, with their precise tilt and delicate placement. These metal bases appear to defy the laws of gravity as they balance formidable work surfaces on the slimmest of edges and sharpest points of convergence.

Ekko conference and meeting tables offer classic surfaces such as solid wood and veneer while also exploring new surface materials, including 3form and marble, which add richness and sophistication to personal offices and boardrooms. Round, square, rectangular, and oval tops in a range of dimensions accommodate any number of users from individuals to groups of up to 12.

A horizontal trough running under the surface of linear tops provides access to power and data outlets and offers superior wire management. Centralized access ports are available in smaller circular or square tops. The surface power covers match the top in color, grain and texture.
