New AIA contract documents include design-build, teaming agreements

by Brianna Crandall — May 25, 2015—After soliciting industry feedback and identifying growing contract needs, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) has developed four new contract documents to add to its portfolio of Contract Documents, that are expected to help optimize work and project processes.

The release of these new documents coincides with the AIA’s National Convention in Atlanta and includes a new residential agreement as well as the following three new documents:

  • AIA Document C102—2015, Standard Form of Teaming Agreement between Team Manager and Team Member for the Purpose of Responding to a Solicitation and Pursuing a Project
  • AIA Document G742—2015, Application and Certificate for Payment for a Design-Build Project
  • AIA Document G743—2015, Continuation Sheet for a Design-Build Project

The new documents are available in the latest version of the AIA Contract Documents desktop software, and online through AIA Documents-on-Demand Plus and AIA Documents-on-Demand.
