New AIHA publications cover hazardous releases, noise, more

by jbs060509 e3 — June 8, 2009—The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) showcased several new publications at the 70th annual American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition (AIHce) May 30-June 4 in Toronto, on such topics as monitoring hazardous releases, occupational exposure to chemicals, and workplace noise.

The following are three of the new publications debuted at AIHce, with the organization’s descriptions:

  • Continuous Monitoring for Hazardous Material Releases (Stock No: SHWB09-759):

Whether occurring accidentally or through acts of terrorism, catastrophic chemical releases must be identified early to mitigate their consequences. This book provides guidance on the applicability, selection, placement, use, and maintenance of gas detection systems.
