by jbs010510 h3 — January 8, 2010—Campus Green Builder (CGB), a Second Nature initiative and online portal to green building information for academic institutions, has launched the Advancing Green Blog. The blog is intended to connect members of the higher education, sustainability and construction and design communities in order to advance green building at colleges and universities, especially minority-serving and under-resourced institutions.
The blog is also designed as an avenue for peer-to-peer exchange of ideas related to green building and campus sustainability efforts. New articles are added on a regular basis. The current selection of blog articles includes:
- Are Your Energy Savings Real? Energy Modeling and Management at Rice University;
- Adopt the 2030 Challenge High Performance Building Standard as Part of Your Climate Action Plan;
- Lessons in a Design-Build Approach: The U.S. DOE Leads the Way to Affordable Energy Efficient Designs;
- Lessons from a Sustainability Coordinator’s Green Building Experience; and
- Exploring Green Buildings on Chicago Campuses.
