New CAFM software by FM:Systems are Web-based for multiple location management

October 1, 2001—FM:Systems, Inc., offers new CAFM software, FM:Interact and FM:Space 6.0, that provide access to facilities information throughout the organization.

FM: Interact is a Web-based software tool to manage facilities across multiple locations. Users can run live reports, view, annotate, and print floor plans, and search archived drawings and critical documents, all through an organization’s intranet. FM:Interact also delivers full Service Request automation to coordinate work order and preventive maintenance processes. Users can track and report on critical data associated with service requests, such as repair costs, response time, work history, and benchmark analysis of historical logs. The corporate intranet can be used to request, plan, schedule, and implement personnel moves, streamlining the move process.

FM:Space 6.0 provides a cost-effective pricing structure, providing comprehensive tools for Space Management, Strategic Planning, Lease and Property Management, and Asset Management. FM:MoveManager and FM:RequestPlus provide functionality to perform move coordination and work order management in a Windows environment. With new move planning features, users can populate and communicate move scenarios graphically within AudoCAD. FM:Space 6.0 is seamlessly integrated with AutoCAD, the industry CAD standard, according to FM:Systems. As such, as-built drawings are easily transformed into data-rich facilities tools.
