by Shane Henson — July 29, 2011—The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) announced on July 22 its inaugural Energy Execs Institute, an executive education program focused on delivering clean energy solutions.
The Energy Execs Institute is a condensed version of the highly successful NREL Executive Energy Leadership Program, which as of this year has been completed by 100 representatives of industry, local government and nonprofit organizations.
Interest in the leadership program spurred the creation of the institute, which will be a regular program offering in addition to the annual leadership program. The July 20-22 Energy Execs Institute delivered renewable energy and energy efficiency technology curriculum to 16 clean energy decision-makers.
